Measurement of system DC and AC power requires the user to connect device inputs upstream (DC) and downstream at the inverter end: data is sampled and stored simultaneously for both single and three-phase PV systems. Often the distance between system inverters and module/arrays can be far apart, thus the SOLAR300 system employs a remote compact data storage module, SOLAR-01 storage module, for remote sampling and storage of the solar irradiance in plane of array, module/array temperature, and ambient temperature. Once the test cycle is complete, test data acquired by SOLAR-01 remote storage module is easily transferred to the main SOLAR300 handheld processing unit via USB cable connection. The SOLAR300 is also capable of voltage/current harmonic analysis and voltage anomaly (e.g. sags, swells) detection. Due to the SOLAR300’s compact flash driver and onboard memory, considerable data storage capacity is available for data archiving. The innovative touch screen design greatly simplifies ease of operation and data review/analysis for the instrument user. Additionally, the included Topview manage- ment software allows the user to create professional reports with company logo, user data, recording comments and more.
