The SBG01 is a water cooled high-intensity heat flux sensor (according to Schmidt-Boelter), intended for fire/flame measurement applications (e.g. flammability and smoke chamber testing). The SBG01 is compliant with ASTM E 622-83, ISO 5658, 5560 and 17554 measurement standards. Engineered for fire and flame heat flux measurement research, the SBG01 is intended for high-intensity flux measurement applications. The SBG01 is suitable for use in applications dominated by thermal radiation. For applications environments with significant convection effects, additional considerations should be taken. Employing entirely passive thermopile-based sensing technology, the SBG01 generates an output voltage signal that is proportional to the incoming heat flux received at the sensor detector level. The sensor housing is water cooled, providing a stable operational case temperature under high-intensity flux conditions up to 200 kW/m2. The SBG01 range consists of six (6) different SBG01 models; model selection depends on required sensitivity, response time and expected maximum intensity range (5, 10, 20, 50, 100 and 200 kW/m2 maximum). Compared to traditional Gardon and Schmidt-Boelter gauges, the SBG01 offers several performance advantages. FEATURES
